Borderlands Books in San Francisco hosted the 13th anniversary celebration of Tachyon Publications  today, with a party, a cake - and the Emperor Norton Awards. I'd gone along with friends. Around the time Cory Doctorow's new book, Little Brother, came out, he moved to London and had a new baby. I'd read Little Brother - his up-to-the-minute, San Francisco-based riff on Orwell's 1984 - in galleys from a reading he gave in San Diego. (Cory believes in making his books freely available.)
